Kevin Kourtney


Kevin was born and raised in Syracuse, NY where he played varsity football and lacrosse at West Genesee High School. I was a part of the state championship team in 2005 and runner up in 2006 under Hall of Fame coach Mike Messere and Bob Deegan. He also played on the New York Empire State Games lacrosse team where team Central took silver medal.

After graduating from West Genesee, Kevin attended the University at Albany and started for 3 years primarily as a face off specialist under head coach Scott Marr for the Great Danes. Kevin graduated from University at Albany with a Bachelors in Sociology and a minor in Business. When he was not training with the Marine Corps over the summers, he coached youth lacrosse at West Point with coach Joe Alberici and at the Naval Academy with coach Rick Sowell.

Upon graduation, Kevin commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. After ayear of training at Basic Officers Course and Infantry Officers Course Kevin deployed to Helmand Providence, Afghanistan leading a platoon of 48 Marines. After a successful deployment to Afghanistan, Kevin was then promoted to Captain and held the job of executive officer of a Weapons Company and second in command of 150 Marines. 

Kevin is currently a Captain in the Marine Corps stationed at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas, NV as a course manager of the Joint Firepower Course. Kevin’s focus is looking to make a positive impact on the student athletes in Las Vegas not only making them better lacrosse players, but instilling discipline, selflessness, and commitment to excellence in all you do.
